Separation

29 Jan

soso

I was standing,
Cold and lonesome.
On that stale sand
of the empty shore.

Lost in bewilderedness
My eyes were greeted
by this plaintive sight
the departing sunset.

Inadvertently, it took along
my asset.
Ashes of some broken trusts,
Spark of that dead heart,
Warmth of numbed feelings.

Hopes for tomorrow,
Desires of today,
Memoirs of the past.
Leaving behind a vacant being.

I, in my aimlessness
bidding farewell
to this gloomy departure
an upsetting loss.

All things morally haram. If you're my Mom or Dad, this is as far as you should read. All views are biased, unreasonable, socially unacceptable and politically ignorant. If you're the 'faffay khuttan' aunty next door, this would be reason enough not to send me a rishta for your son.
